A two-day workshop to showcase the power and importance of storytelling as a tool by which we connect to the world around us. This will include philosophy of storytelling, practice, and direct application. Educators will leave with the means to apply these tools to their pedagogy and with practical classroom exercises to engage their students and that their students can engage the world around them. Non-educators and educators alike will discover a new way to explore empathy, community, and communication by understanding the power storytelling has to relate to the world no matter your creed, culture, or country. Shenzhen Stories is a live monthly event and podcast centered around regular people and their extraordinary lives. These stories show us that each and every person has a valuable perspective and a story worth hearing. Learn how to share yours and to use stories to engage with your students and the rest of the world in a meaningful way.
