School Description:

QSI International School of Shenyang is a private, non-profit Preschool through Elementary institution for students starting at age 3 years through high school. QSI International School of Shenyang opened it doors in August of 2012 in order to provide a quality education for expatriates living in the municipality of Shenyang, China. Multi-national corporations, U.S. Consulate and other institutions primarily employ parents of our students. It is a highly mobile community. The curriculum includes English (reading, grammar, composition, and spelling), Mathematics, Cultural Studies (history, geography), Science (physical, life, and earth), Chinese Language, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Intensive English classes are offered to students who need additional help with English. Computer use is integrated across the curriculum. The school seeks to provide students with an appreciation for the rich culture and history of China. Materials and equipment are up to date and of high quality. Class sizes are small. The school follows American curriculum at all grade levels. In addition to its scholastic goals, there is a school-wide focus on helping students acquire the seven ldquo;success orientationsrdquo;: trustworthiness, responsibility, concern for others, independent endeavor, kindness and politeness, group interaction, and aesthetic appreciation.
